Setup Email in Netscape 6 in Windows

 

Open Mail and Newsgroups using one of the following steps:

  • If Netscape is not open, click Start -> Programs -> Netscape 6 -> Mail.
  • If Netscape is open, click Tasks -> Mail and Newsgroups

Click Edit -> Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.
  • To create a new account click on the New Account button.
New Account Setup
  • Select ISP or email provider.
  • Click Next.
Identity
  • Your Name: Enter name to appear in the From field of outgoing mail. This is not your email address - usually it's your Full Name.
  • Email Address:Enter your full @metanetis.com or @meta-net.net email address.
  • Click Next.
Server Information
  • Incoming Server - Leave the selection on POP. Server Name: mail.metanetis.com
  • Outgoing Server - Server Name: mail.metanetis.com
  • Click Next.

Username
  • Type in the first part of your MetaNet email address, but leave off the @metanetis.com (or @meta-net.net).
  • Click Next.
Account Name
  • This is just a title for the account settings. You can leave as is or change to whatever you would like. We recommend using your email address for identification purposes.
  • Click Next.
Congratulations
  • Confirm settings and click Finish.
